Globe mobile services suspended in Quiapo on January 9 for Black Nazarene procession

In compliance with NTC directive
06:02 PM January 08, 2018

In compliance with a directive from the National Telecommunications Commission, Globe Telecom will temporarily suspend mobile services within the immediate vicinity of Black Nazarene procession. The suspension will begin 5am of January 9, 2018 until the image of the Black Nazarene returns to Quiapo Church, at around midnight of the same day. With the directive, Globe customers along the procession route may not be able to access call, text and mobile data services while the suspension of services is in effect.

Due to overlapping mobile signal from cellsites in adjacent areas, the suspension of services could affect customers in other parts of Manila and Cavite areas. The NTC directive for a network shutdown was issued upon request of the Philippine National Police. We appeal for our customers’ understanding. –Globe General Counsel Atty. Froilan Castelo
