Elon Musk’s Boring Company sells ‘world’s safest’ flamethrower

Elon Musk’s tunnel-making Boring Company appears to be anything but a yawn-inducing enterprise. The company recently opened up pre-orders for their Boring Company Flamethrower.

Musk made the announcement through his Instagram account. He posted several photos featuring the flamethrower and a video of himself running with it.

Priced at $500 (about P25,400) the pre-order page describes it as the “world’s safest flamethrower” and “guaranteed to liven up any party!”

Despite the safety claims, the company recognizes that people would still be playing around with fire. For this reason, they also offered “an overpriced Boring Company fire extinguisher!” for $30 (around P1,500).

The description comically continues, “You can definitely buy one for less elsewhere, but this one comes with a cool sticker and the button is conveniently riiight above.”

The page did not include any visual reference for the “cool sticker.”

The flamethrower had been previously teased by Musk himself. He hinted that the Boring Company would start selling flamethrowers when they ran out of hats, reports TechCrunch.

How a flamethrower relates to a tunnel-boring company could be left to anyone’s imagination. At the very least, fans with $500 to spare may enjoy running around with the world’s safest flamethrower in their backyard. /ra
