Once again the largest gathering of Python developers in the country is here, PyCon PH 2018! We invite IT professionals, students, and academicians to attend the event
Organized by Python PH, Inc and in partnership with iAcademy, this year’s Python Conference brings us a highly engaging two-day event of learning, sharing and collaboration in the Philippine Python community. Python PH is a volunteer-run community of software engineers, programming enthusiasts, students, startup founders, IT Managers and technologists who use the Python Programming language.
Python is a popular programming language used by organizations of all sizes such as Walt Disney Animation, NASA, CERN, Google and Wikipedia. It is known for being easy to learn and can be used for a wide variety of applications, even by non-programmers!
PyCon PH 2018 includes a lineup of distinguished speakers from the local and international Python community. Talks and workshops are scheduled to cover a wide range to topics relating to the “Trends in the Python Ecosystem”. Session highlights include web application development, machine learning, automation, data processing, and cryptography.
Day one of the the PyCon PH will kick-off with the keynote sessions of Dr. Erika Fille Legara Ph.D., Program Director, Master of Science in Data Science at the Asian Institute of Management, and Mr. Al Sweigart, renowned author of “Automate the Boring Stuff”, “Invent Your Own Computer Games with Python”, and other books that teach programming to kids and adults. Day two of the conference will start with a keynote session of Mr. Younggun Kim, an open source advocate and software engineer, and was previously a Board Director of the Python Software Foundation.
The previous president of Python.PH (2013-2016), Dr. Sony Valdez, DIT is quoted as saying, “The first Python Philippines Conference changed my life. Not only did I meet other coders of all levels, but it also gave me an opportunity to be part of the Philippines IT community. I am excited for PyCon PH 2018 and I am looking forward to the great talks and meeting awesome people.”
Similar to last year, PyCon PH 2018 is expecting a diverse range of attendees from knowledge seekers to technophiles for this two-day conference.
