Artificial intelligence development course offered for free by Google

Artificial intelligence has been the catchphrase in the tech world in recent times, but how do you actually make one?
Google wants to help people understand AI and machine-learning development by offering a crash course for free. The company believes machine learning holds such potential that every technical person should learn its fundamentals.
According to a statement, the Machine Learning Crash Course (MLCC) offers the same educational material previously provided to over 18,000 Googlers. The course covers machine-learning fundamentals and moves all the way up to classification models and neural networks.
Programming background is not required, but the company suggests brushing up on some basic algebra and elementary statistics (mean and standard deviation).
The course itself will be intuitive and media-driven, with hands-on tools to help learn machine-learning concepts. “You need a technical mind, but you don’t need programming skills.“
The course will have some optional Python programming exercises for those with background.
For interested would-be developers, the free course will available in English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and French.
After finishing the course, “new graduates” can test out their skills and join the Kaggle competition to help DonorsChoose.org to create a system for screening the thousands of project proposals the organization receives annually. /ra
