The weird Mysterious Fish mascot of a Japanese baseball team was spotted retrieving his “body” from a luggage carousel at Honolulu Airport, Hawaii.
A mascot for the Chiba Lotte Marines Japanese baseball team, the Mysterious Fish has been known to do some weird things on and off the field. A clip posted by Chiba Lotte via Twitter on April 1 showed the mascot slipping back into its fish body after getting the said body back from the plane. The post has since gone viral, garnering 29,000 likes and 16,000 retweets as of this writing.
It appears the mascot was on the flight with nothing but half its scales and exposed fishbone.
It is unclear why the Mysterious Fish was in Hawaii, considering that the Chiba Lotte Marines’ last few games since April 1 were held at the Chiba Marine Stadium in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
The Chiba Lotte Marines also has three other regular mascots rooting for the team, namely Ma-kun, Rin-Chan and Zu-chan. JB
