In just over two years since launching, Facebook Live — the service that lets users broadcast live video via the social network — counts more than 3.5 billion livestreams and 150 billion reactions.

Facebook reports that hundreds of millions of people have already gone live on Facebook and that almost all of the network’s members — just over two billion people — have watched a Facebook Live broadcast.

Facebook launched its livestreaming function in February 2016, following in the wake of Periscope, the Twitter-owned live video streaming app that was popular at the time. First available only on Android and in the United States, the service was quickly and successfully rolled out to all of the network’s users.
