Telecommunications giant PLDT Inc. on Tuesday issued an advisory informing its subscribers, especially those with the Smart Communications Inc., of a possible slow internet connectivity after an undersea cable link to Hong Kong had been damaged.

“Due to damage to our undersea cable link to Hong Kong, you may experience a slowdown from time to time when accessing certain sites and apps like Facebook Google, and Netflix,” PLDT and Smart said in separate statements.
