It’s not you — it’s Instagram. The photo-sharing social media platform was actually down for an hour today.

Instagram users experienced outage on the platform for about an hour at around 3:30 p.m., Oct 3.

App users reported that the platform is not loading and cannot be refreshed, while the web version only brought up a “5xx Server Error” notice. Numerous users shared reports and aired their frustrations on Twitter and Facebook.

It has been a difficult time for Instagram recently as well, as co-founders of the platform resigned from their positions in the social media company.

Chief executive Kevin Systrom and chief technical officer Mike Krieger announced last month that they are planning to leave the company and take time off “to explore our curiosity and creativity again.”

However, there is still no report if the issue of their resignation has anything to do with today’s outage, which may have just been another technical problem. JB
