It’s a fresh view on the smartphone game here in the Philippines. Smartphone brand HONOR is putting out a first in mobile device marketing–an impressive advocacy as cherry on top of the release of its newest flagship device, the HONOR 8C. One of HONOR’s key undertakings for the year is to support institutions that push the agenda of animal welfare, such as CARA (Compassion And Responsibility for Animals) Welfare Philippines.

The timely nature of this undertaking may be attributed to the HONOR 8C budget smartphone, with features that, in some ways, resemble a number of cat-like qualities.

Honor 8C: As sleek as it gets.

Released officially to Filipino consumers on March 30, 2019, the 8C might so far be the sleekest phone to be distributed in the Philippines as it has an unparalleled smooth finish that, aesthetically, is very similar to the mesmerizing, fierce gloss of feline eyes. It was aptly named the Cat-Eye Blue design, which was the springboard for the introduction of its appointed “Cat-bassador”–cat brand ambassador–MEOWINGTON to the public. One can say that the HONOR 8C essentially has the high-octane energy of a cat.

Apart from the phone’s sleek design, the HONOR 8C mobile phone is also packed with some of the most impressive features in mobile computing today within the entry-level category.  For the price point of Php7,999, the HONOR 8C is an undeniable performer-for-cost given its 4000mah battery capacity, which can last somewhere between 5 to 9 hours in one single charge depending on the level of usage and without a bulk to its built due to its thinness, as well as its Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 1.8GHz octa-core processor that can handle a multitude of memory-intensive applications without a snag–truly a leader in its field.

The device still comes with a 3.5mm audio jack–perfect for audiophiles with an undying preference for really good wired earphones and headphones, and offers dual-sim capacity so users can still retain existing numbers in their new handset. The unit has 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB through a dedicated microSD card slot, and has active blue-light filter function to ensure the user’s eyes are protected at all costs. The device’s camera generates extra sharp, Instagram-worthy images through the 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, as well as Facebook-ready selfies thanks to its 8MP front camera.

The HONOR 8C smartphone’s 6.26 Super Wide Screen display is currently the largest in the entry-level market, which is sure to make everyone as wide-eyed as cats. Binge-watching challenge is on once again, that’s for sure.

Stay tuned to all social media channels of HONOR Philippines for more updates on its cat-bassador Meowington, as well as the progress of its support to local animal welfare organizations.
