YouTube Music Lets You Make Radio Stations
Google unveiled an upcoming feature for YouTube Music users that lets them create custom stations based on their favorite artists.
Also, they get to decide what songs the feature will play. The company calls it “Radio Builder,” and you may access it by scrolling to the “Your music tuner” section of the app.
YouTube’s parent firm noted that popular music streaming services offer radio features but with limited functionality. It aims to provide that missing user experience.

Google first shared details about the feature with TechCrunch on Tuesday. It explained users could pick up to 30 artists when forming their radio stations.
They could choose how frequently these artists play. For example, the radio station may only play the artists you’ve selected or include songs from similar musicians.
For example, your YouTube Music radio could play songs from Mayonnaise and Soapdish. Alternatively, it could recommend songs from similar bands like Up Dharma Down.
You may also apply filters, such as “new discoveries” or “chill songs,” to change the mood of the station. Google explained why it released the new feature via email:
“With this new radio functionality, we’re flipping that model on its head, empowering users to create their own radios from the ground up by combining key music building blocks such as artists and common music descriptors.”
“The result is giving users a lot more control over their music listening experiences, and allowing them to slice their music in many ways currently unavailable to them, on YouTube Music or really any music service.”
You can access this feature by heading to the YouTube Music homepage and scrolling down to the Your music tuner option.
YouTube Music radio stations are available for both free and paid users, and you may download the app on Android and iOS.
