Marvel Games announces Marvel Maximum Collection for PC and consoles
Get ready to relive the 8-bit and 16-bit eras of Marvel video game nostalgia as Marvel Games announces the Marvel Maximum Collection.

The collection brings back six classic titles that helped define a generation of Marvel fans and gamers in the early 1990’s.
Spanning multiple genres, the collection includes Konami’s legendary X-Men arcade game, Data East’s Captain America and the Avengers, the Spider-Man and Venom team-up games Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety, Spider-Man/ X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge, and the infamous Silver Surfer NES side-scrolling shooter.
Here’s a list of features that will be packed with the collection as listed by Limited Run Games, including rollback netcode for X-Men: The Arcade Game, save states, and more!
- X-Men: The Arcade Game Online: Online multiplayer for up to 6 players with Rollback Netcode!
- Archives: Dive into a digital archive featuring high-resolution scans of original box art, instruction manuals, and vintage advertisements.
- Music Player: Kick back and listen to the iconic chip-tune scores from every version of every game in the collection.
- Integrated CHEATS menu: Enable Infinite Lives and more in selected games
- Rewind & Save States: Finally conquer the “Deadly Walls” of Silver Surfer or the boss gauntlets of Arcade’s Revenge with the ability to rewind gameplay and save anywhere.
- Display Options: Play with crisp, modern pixels or recreate the Saturday morning experience with CRT and scanline filters.
Much like Capcom’s Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection, the Marvel Maximum Collection is another chance for gamers to experience these classic Marvel video games from the past, as well as preserving pieces of history that have been a licensing nightmare to rerelease to the public.
No release date has been set yet for Marvel Maximum Collection, but Limited Run Games and Konami will be releasing physical editions of the game for fans to pre-order and add to their wishlist! The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
