Sony to introduce 2 new PlayStation 4 consoles in Sept.
Not too long ago Microsoft released a slimmed-down as well as a beefier version of its Xbox One gaming console. It seems that Sony doesn’t want to fall behind the race as it has just announced it will be introducing two new PlayStation 4 (PS4) consoles in September.
The two consoles are a slimmer version of the launch PS4 and an upgraded version that is capable of 4K resolution gaming and equipped with a faster processor. These will be fully unveiled in an event in New York on September 7, The Verge reported.
Article continues after this advertisementEarlier in June, Sony said that future PS4 games would be playable on all console variations despite the difference in their respective hardware.
There was also word that Sony had cut down production of the current PS4 console, which could signify that the new slim version would eventually become the standard PS4 version.
While it’s nothing new for Sony to release a slim version of its console, this is the first time it will be releasing a slimmer and revised version of an existing model that promises better graphics than the original. Alfred Bayle
