New FB Messenger feature adds games like Pac-Man

In the past, Messenger users would distract themselves with simple, hidden games while chatting. Facebook has given this feature a major upgrade and now includes classic games like Pac-Man and Space Invaders.

The new Game On feature adds a small gamepad icon just below the text box. When tapped on, it launches a selection of games including well-known classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Galaga and as other Instant Games. It will initially be available in 30 countries for both Android and iOS devices.

These instant games will have a leaderboard that will help foster competitiveness among friends and also give them another means of interacting with one another. More titles will be added over time.  Alfred Bayle
