A 10-year-old girl’s rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” has brought tears and holiday bliss to the social media population, which has been blown away by her angelic voice.

Kaylee Rodgers, who has autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, led her classmates in performing at the Killard House School in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. Because Rodgers felt under the weather and missed her local Christmas concert, school principal Collin Millar played a clip of her performance, staged weeks before, during the event.

Nichola Martin, whose son was also singing in the choir, uploaded the performance on Facebook Monday. It has been watched 1.6 million times while the same video uploaded on YouTube has racked up 400, 000 views as of this writing.

In an interview with ITV, Rodgers shared her amusement in witnessing the online crowd relishing her Christmas carol. “It was really amazing how many views I got,” she told the news site.“I just loved doing it.”

Her proud mother, Tracy, told BBC that Rodgers’ music teacher, Lloyd Scates, filled an integral role in fostering her growth and potential. “She always loved singing, but it wasn’t until she started at Killard House School that she really came into her own,” she said. “He’s (Scates) like her safety blanket–he’s amazing.” She addeed that Rodgers could consider drafting her singing career with Scates guiding her.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
