WhatsApp Communities And Other Features Roll Out

The green messaging app offers more ways to connect with people. The WhatsApp Communities feature allows people to organize groups into larger communities.

The company released this upgrade to improve how organizations communicate. Aside from accommodating more people, the new feature offers more security and privacy.

Whatsapp said it worked with over 50 organizations in 15 nations to ensure the new feature meets their needs. Moreover, it comes with other functions.

You may try it on the mobile app. You will find the Communities tab on your chats if you use Android.

For example, a school can make a Whatsapp Community that organizes groups by grade level. Then, each grade level group may include its corresponding sections or classes.

The host can easily find the senders and reply to each of them. Aside from WhatsApp Communities, in-chat polls, 32-person video conferencing, and 1,024-member groups are now available.

Let us continue using our school example. The principal may propose a new school event by launching a WhatsApp survey.

It takes seconds to create one, and pollsters may complete results within minutes. Also, the 32-person video calls may facilitate online learning

The expanded member limit allows WhatsApp to become handy for businesses and large organizations. For example, let us say you want to expand your small business.

You could use project management tools like Slack, but those have monthly fees. Alternatively, growing businesses may temporarily use WhatsApp Communities. 

You may divide your Community into sales, marketing, and logistics groups. Eventually, you may switch to better tools as you hire more people.
