CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos made this request after seeing numerous complaints over the weekend about unauthorized Gcash fund transfers.

“Your social media platforms will not, in any way, assist you nor resolve your losses in your e-wallets,” he added.

CICC is coordinating with the e-wallet app to investigate the issue.

The agency is also collaborating with the National Telecommunications Commission on how victims can receive assistance.
