The iPhone has many robust features, especially for squeezing extra juice from the battery. Here are some tips from tech insider MakeUseOf and tech repair firm Asurion:

  1. Turn on Low Power Mode by opening Settings. Then, select Battery and activate it.
  2. Switch off Keyboard Haptics from the Settings. Next, choose Sound & Haptics, open Keyboard Feedback, and tap the Haptics toggle.
  3. Lower Screen Brightness by opening the Control Center and dragging down the brightness slider.
  4. Download Files, Maps, and Music for offline use. For example, you may download offline maps via Google Maps or Apple Maps.
  5. Save your phone’s battery life by adjusting Auto-Lock. Open Settings, tap Display & Brightness, select Auto-Lock, and choose a length of time.
  6. Disable the Always on Display feature in the Settings. Tap Display & Brightness and deactivate Always on Display.
  7. Remove unnecessary widgets. Start by pressing and holding an empty area on the screen. Then, tap the minus (-) icon on the widget. Alternatively, long press on the Lock Screen, select Customize and tap the minus icon on a widget.
  8. Disable Background App Refresh by opening Settings. Next, choose General and then tap Background App Refresh.
  9. Turn off Location Services so it won’t drain your phone’s battery life. Open Settings, select Privacy & Security, and then hit Location Services to manage location access per app.

You can prolong your Android device’s battery life with the same methods. However, it can be confusing due to the different options from models and brands.

Fortunately, you may search them from the Settings app search bar:

  1. Activate Power Saving Mode by searching it on the Settings app.
  2. Turn off Adaptive Brightness
  3. Disable the Always on Display.
  4. Set your Screen Timeout period, from 15 seconds to 10 minutes.
  5. Deactivate Location and Wireless Services.
  6. Turn off Background App Refresh and Updates.
  7. Disable Hey Google to turn off Active Listening.
  8. Switch off Enhanced Processing.
  9. Turn on the Adaptive Battery feature.

You may further boost your phone’s battery life by deleting unused apps. Ensure your charging ports and cables aren’t loose, damaged, or dirty.
