Hello Kitty shocker ‘s-purrs’ online outcry

MANILA, Philippines—Netizens took to their social media to express their sentiments after the news came out on Thursday that Sanrio character Hello Kitty is not a cat, but a “girl.”

Several netizens were left confused and claimed they have been “living a lie”, but some just did not care. Hello Kitty even became a top trending topic after the revelation.

Sanrio revealed that Hello Kitty is a “bright little girl with a heart of gold.”
