Production of classic Sega Mega Drive console resumes in Brazil
Retro and nostalgia seem to be ‘the in’ thing these days. Nintendo revived the Famicom with a miniature modern version and now it looks like the Sega Mega Drive is also slated for a comeback.
The classic gaming console will be produced in Brazil, and unlike the Famicom Mini, the Mega Drive will bear its classic look as well as support for the original game library and controllers. HDMI connectivity, however, will not be an option, reports CNET.

It should be pointed out that this re-released Mega Drive is not to be confused with SEGA’s announced Mega Drive Mini which will directly compete with Nintendo’s Famicom Mini and NES Classic Edition. Alfred Bayle
