WATCH: StarCraft remastered version to be released

It has been nearly 20 years since the original StarCraft was launched by Blizzard Entertainment back in 1998. Now the classic is getting a modernized version. It comes will all the bells and whistles that made the game so well-loved but now rendered in crisp 4K resolution.

Also added in the package are enhanced illustrations and storytelling from the StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War campaign missions. Apart from these, Blizzard will be incorporating cloud saving for campaign progression, custom maps, keybinds and replays.

StarCraft is a real-time strategy game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for the PC. It features three playable factions that battle for control of a region of space called the Koprulu Sector. They are the Terrans, Protoss and Zerg. A single player campaign as well as online multiplayer mode is included in the game.

Release for “StarCraft: Remastered” is scheduled for the latter half of the year for both Mac and PC. Pricing will be announced at a later date. JB
