Xbox Project Scorpio to be unveiled through Digital Foundry

Microsoft has been teasing the Xbox Project Scorpio for some time now but the day of the great reveal is yet to arrive.

A tweet from Digital Foundry announced an exclusive Xbox Scorpio reveal on Eurogamer tomorrow, April 6 at 2 p.m. U.K./6 a.m. Pacific time.
The Microsoft console has had a good run of rumors and debates regarding its specifications, particularly the debate as to whether or not it will incorporate AMD’s new Ryzen CPU technology. Hopefully, the reveal can finally put all of this to rest.
Windows Central currently notes that Project Scorpio is capable of running at 6 teraflops (TF). It will also utilize 12GB of GDDR5 memory. In comparison, the Xbox One utilized 8GB of DDR3 and 32MB of static ESRAM. Despite this change in internal hardware, game developers will still need to make games that are compatible to both versions of Xbox. However, it appears that virtual reality games may end up being exclusive to Project Scorpio.
On the outside, Project Scorpio is expected to come in a compact form factor—something that Microsoft has had a lot of experience in, given their powerful yet compact Surface tablets.
