#BPISerye: Netizens’ funny reactions to BPI glitch

In case you missed it, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) experienced an “internal data processing” glitch on its system on Wednesday, causing several discrepancies in bank account balances of some clients.

Much to the dismay—and amusement—of some netizens, the hashtags #BPIHacked, #BPIGlitch and #BPISerye have become a trending topic on Twitter.

Social media was flooded with complaints and rants from those affected, while others managed to find humor in the otherwise, unfortunate situation.

Others, meanwhile, were simply elated to become “instant millionaires” for a day.

These guys even poked fun of the company’s tagline.

Others, on the other hand, mocked some employees’ job security.

This netizen just wants equal treatment.
