Bandai Namco Entertainment America released a game trailer over the weekend for the latest installment in the “God Eater” franchise.

Officially titled “God Eater 3”, Bandai Namco’s statement reads, “Team up with other God Eaters equipped with the latest God Arc weapons to take down monstrous new Aragami tearing apart locations around the globe.”

However, it appears that a new twist is in store regarding the condition of God Eaters: humans who posses powers which can defeat the monsters that took over the world.

“Another mission is coming into focus; something is happening to the God Eaters and the line between light and dark has never been so thin. It’s time to start breaking free from the cursed shackles that bind the souls of the God Eaters as the battle rages on around them,” the game description states further.

The game trailer itself did not reveal a lot of details. However, it does tease with the line “Break free of the shackles that bind you.” This was then visualized by the yet-to-be named character by breaking free from his.

In-game footage also showed the character wielding twin God Arcs, preferred weapons of God Eaters. Normally, these would be massive weapons which require both hands for proper use. This makes it the first time that a character has been seen wielding two God Arcs, one in each hand.

An exact release date for “God Eater 3” is yet to be revealed. JB
