Microsoft revealed that its upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon processor-powered Windows 10 laptops could last for days on a single charge.

The company told Trusted Reviews that the battery tests for the new laptops have exceeded expectations. Pete Bernard, principal group program manager for connectivity partners at Microsoft said battery life was “really, really good.”

Bernard added, “We set a high bar for [our developers], and we’re now beyond that. It’s the kind of battery life where I use it on a daily basis. I don’t take my charger with me. I may charge it every couple of days or so. It’s that kind of battery life.”

He believes the new battery life will be a game changer in people’s PC experience.

Additional details were also revealed during a press conference at the Qualcomm annual 5G Summit. The event was held between October 16 to 18 in Hong Kong.

The laptops are still set to be released before this year ends. Microsoft also targets to release a variety of devices in different, more affordable price points down the line. Alfred Bayle/JB
