“Cyberpunk 2077”, though unnamed by CD Projekt RED in its E3 2018 exhibitors listing, is expected to be shown at the June video game event in Los Angeles.

CD Projekt RED, the studio behind 2015 triumph “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”, is bringing an unnamed role-playing game to June’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, according to an exhibitor listing.

Listed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, the mystery title is thought to be sci-fi adventure “Cyberpunk 2077”, first announced in 2012 with a teaser trailer released in 2013.

Already confirmed for PS4, XBO and PC, “Cyberpunk 2077” is anticipated for a 2019 launch.

FEATURED STORIES

Based on 1988 tabletop role-playing game “Cyberpunk 2020”, whose own influences can be traced back to the sci-fi fiction of William Gibson and Bruce Sterling, “Cyberpunk 2077” envisions an urban America which is now under the control of territorial corporate interests.

Cybernetic implants are commonplace, but individuals who install too many machine-based augmentations run the risk of going haywire and becoming a deadly threat to those around them.

Apart from “Cyberpunk 2077”, CD Projekt RED has “The Witcher” spin-off “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” in a public beta testing phase for PC and XBO, with a PS4 edition to arrive alongside a 2018 release. JB
