Nintendo will be re-releasing the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Classic Edition starting June 29.

The retro console proved to be hugely popular during its November 2016 release that units were sold out immediately. The same thing happened to the SNES Classic when pre-order slots closed just a few hours after they were opened.

According to a Twitter post made today by Nintendo of America, the company made sure NES Classic and SNES Classic Edition stocks will last until the end of the year.

Priced at $59.99 (about P3,000), the retro console carries 30 of Nintendo’s top classic games. The lineup includes “The Legend of Zelda”, “Donkey Kong”, “Super Mario Bros.”, “Metroid” and “Balloon Fight”, to name a few.

The package only comes with a single full-sized classic wired controller. Gamers would need to purchase a second controller to play one of the two-player games.

Nintendo also revealed it will resume selling the Nintendo Classic Mini Family Computer for the Japanese market. Selling starts on June 28 at 5,980 yen (around P2,800). The retro console will also ship out with 30 classic Nintendo games built into the system.

Nintendo first released the Famicom as a dedicated gaming system for the Japanese market in 1983. The company later introduced the game console to the American market during the 1985 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as the Nintendo Entertainment System. This American version had a boxy white and grey body, as opposed to the Famicom’s red and white.

The NES also featured a redesigned “zero insertion force” cartridge slot. Famicom users inserted cartridges top-down into the cartridge slot; NES users inserted cartridges horizontally through a flip cover slot. JB
