5 things that drive every driver mad – and Nissan’s solution to all of these

The streets of the metro are always packed especially during rush hours. From bumper-to-bumper traffic to clogged highways going to and from each major city—there’s a lot of reasons why it’s more challenging for drivers to navigate around nowadays.

We have collected here five of the most common problems new and old drivers alike are faced with almost every single day:

1. Navigating through heavy traffic
We’ve all been here—the rush hour is at its peak and you are still stuck in the middle of EDSA or C5 going to work. After being spent doing the entire day’s work, driving home can be a drag—not to mention the waiting time while stuck in traffic.

A quick fix is either to travel at a later time or to carpool with officemates. If you want a long-term solution however, Nissan has something new that will greatly help drivers navigate the roads with more ease. With the Nissan Intelligent Mobility, sensors are set in place to monitor the traffic flow and to make sure you are at a safe distance from other vehicles surrounding your car.

Take for instance its Intelligent Forward Collision Warning with Intelligent Emergency Braking: the sensors will watch cars ahead and send audible and visual warnings for signs of an impending collision through Forward Collision Warning; and in case you miss these warnings, controlled emergency brake force will then be applied to help your vehicle slow down through Intelligent Emergency Braking.

2. Driving uphill

Not all streets are built on straight planes. Sometimes we get to drive to places where we have to go uphill and downhill, and admittedly, that’s a challenge to many drivers. With the Nissan Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, worry less when driving on inclined roads or when going down any slope. The Nissan Hill Start Assist will keep your vehicle from rolling backwards on inclined roads by automatically holding the brakes as you switch from brake pedal to accelerator. The Hill Descent Control, on the other hand, makes driving down steep hills easier by helping you keep a steady speed as you go down any slope. These features help make driving more manageable and keep a safe speed of the vehicle.

3. Parking in tight spaces

No need to turn your head towards all directions with the Nissan Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection. Park at ease as this feature will give drivers a bird’s eye view of what’s surrounding the vehicle. Whether you are at a mall’s parking lot, or vying for the last parking slot at your neighbourhood restaurant, parking surely won’t be a problem anymore especially in tight spaces.

4. Backing up
Driving the car in reverse isn’t only a newbie’s problem. Some who have driven around for a couple of years already still encounter difficulty in backing up. It could be because of unfamiliarity with the place, not being able to clearly see the back of the vehicle, or other factors such as being stuck in a tight space.

The Rear Cross Traffic Alert makes sure you don’t hit anything while backing up. With this unique feature, your vehicle will alert you if it detects another approaching car while on reverse.

5. Blind spots
This is probably one of the trickier problems to solve. A driver’s view of his vehicle is limited while driving. He can see what’s in front, behind, and to a certain extent, his sides—but the real problem lies on the areas in which the side mirrors can’t cover.

Luckily, Nissan has a solution for this as well. Worry no more while navigating through traffic and when overtaking vehicles on the free road. Nissan’s Blind Spot Warning sends a signal to notify the driver if and when there is a vehicle on his blind spot.

Imagine a future where you can take your driving experience to a whole new level and navigate your way around the road with more excitement, confidence, and connection to the world around you.
