Rejoice, “9-year-old” Minecraft players, as internet star PewDiePie (real name: Felix Kjellberg) has released the new music video for his latest song “Mine All Day” via YouTube on Oct. 23.
PewDiePie has only recently returned to his gaming roots after he got hooked on Minecraft last June.
After creating 70 Minecraft videos in just about four months, PewDiePie decided to up the ante and made a four-minute music video in honor of the game.
The music video for “Mine All Day” has been viewed at least 11,824,000 times, as of this writing. The song has also been uploaded to Spotify on Oct. 23.
The Swedish millionaire’s YouTube channel is said to be the most-subscribed channel for an individual, with more than 102 million subscribers referred to as the “9-year-old Army.” His renown as having the most-subscribed channel since 2013 was only recently taken by Indian music and movie network T-Series, which has around 116 million subscribers.
The battle for most subscribers between the two sparked the “subscribe to PewDiePie” memes earlier this year.
Amid the controversies over his edgy humor, PewDiePie has made some successful hits despite not having a professional background in singing. Some of his most popular songs include “B*tch Lasagna”, “Congratulations” and “Rewind Time”.
PewDiePie has recently been banned in China after he likened President Xi Jinping to the Disney character Winnie the Pooh in a segment called “Meme Review”. JB
