‘Death Stranding’ studio hints at March announcement
Kojima Productions is expected to reveal something of its future plans in the week beginning March 3, 2020, per a February 28 tweet.
Having released “Death Stranding” on PlayStation 4 in November 2019, Kojima Productions appears ready to make a new announcement.
“Sorry to be silent everyone! I’ve been really busy lately…..I think i can say more soon about what we are going to…..” read the tweet.
As studio head Hideo Kojima is legendary for his ability to tease and troll fans with hints and red herrings alike, a picture accompanying the message is being combed for possible clues as to the nature of the announcement.
With Kojima posed next to a notepad that reads “next week,” an update is expected from March 3 onwards.
“Death Stranding” was launched as a timed PlayStation exclusive, with a PC edition expected sometime between the beginning of April and end of September 2020, so the communiqué could relate to that.
At the same time, Kojima, a well known cineaste, has talked up his interest in expanding studio output to include film work, though it’s not clear how close that idea is to being realized. JB
