Philippine Collegiate Championship Season 4 kicks off bigger than ever

Philippine Collegiate Championship Season 4 expands nationwide with more university reach, more programs, and even teases a third game.

The Philippine Collegiate Championship officially launched Season 4 at the Marco Polo Hotel, introducing a wider national expansion and a stronger focus on grassroots collegiate esports development under the theme “Siklab ng Puso.”

Backed by Converge ICT Solutions as the league’s official presenter, PCC Season 4 will now expand deeper into Visayas and Mindanao while aiming to reach more than 1,000 schools across the country.

The league confirmed the return of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty: Mobile as official tournament titles, alongside a still-unannounced third game set to join the lineup this season. The total prize pool for the league stands at PHP 750,000.

Season 4’s structure includes Open Cup, Regional, and National Leagues open to registered student teams nationwide. Champion teams from partner associations including SCUAA, FESSAP, CESAFI, and the Davao Esports Enthusiast Association will also qualify for the final pool heading into the Grand Finals during Campus Playfest 2026.

Representatives from both Moonton Games, Lee Villoria and Comission of Higher Education’s Ana Dulce B. Yango attended the launch event and confirmed expanded support for this year’s programs, including campus roadshows and community initiatives tied to the collegiate scene.

Beyond tournaments, PCC Season 4 continues to push educational and community-focused programs through three pillars: Education, Leagues, and Experiences. The league plans to visit over 20 schools through Campus Roadshows and esports-focused masterclasses, targeting more than 1,500 student participants.

The Next Gen student program is also returning with over 300 expected participating teams. This season’s format includes a hackathon-style competition, with winning teams earning a cultural immersion trip to Thailand and attendance at the Thailand Game Show.

PCC CEO Benson Te said sustainability remains one of the league’s biggest priorities as the organization continues expanding nationwide while sticking to their core value in growing grassroots esports.

The event also introduced CCEPlay, a new community platform tied to PCC activities and events. The system allows users to join school communities, complete digital quests, participate in surveys and booth activities, and earn rewards during online and onsite events. CCEPlay will also power the upcoming Campus Rally initiative, where schools compete through community participation and engagement.

The launch program concluded with the WP/Connect Fireside Chat featuring representatives from Moonton Games, Converge ICT Solutions, Brand Ambassador Manjean Faldas, and the PCC discussing topics including grassroots esports sustainability, brand involvement in gaming communities, and the current direction of the local esports industry.
