WATCH: News anchor plays Pokémon Go, interrupts live weather forecast
Pokémon Go has indeed conquered the world by “storm,” including the newsroom.
A news anchor was so rapt playing the craze game Pokémon Go that she forgot where her “real world” was and sauntered through the news booth during a weather forecast report on Monday.
Article continues after this advertisementWith her attention glued on “catching”Pokémons, Allison Kropff, an anchor for WTSP in Florida, strolled in front of wide-eyed meteorologist Bobby Deskins, who was reading the forecast.
An interrupted Deskins uttered, “She’s looking for [a] Pokémon!”
Instead of alerting viewers to brace themselves for heavy rainfall, the male anchor warned of virtual creatures prowling around the neighborhood. “You guys have got to be careful with these phones, these Pokémon,” Deskins says. “You’re just walking around all over the place.”
