Based on the latest official Sony product list on their Japanese website, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) has been listed as “shipments completed.” This means that Sony and other retailers will no longer be getting new stocks of the console.

Anime News Network reports that several major retail stores in Japan like Bic Camera, Sofmap, and Yodobashi have also ceased listing new stocks for the PS3 on their respective sites.
