Released after over a year of intensive, active and public-access development on May 8, a reworked “Conan Exiles” continues to advance up the Steam, GamersGate and Fanatical charts, as of May 21, 2018.

In “Conan Exiles”, players take the identity of a male or female warrior and enter a savage survival simulation set in the world of Robert E. Howard’s “Conan the Barbarian”.

Upon its early access launch in January 2017, the newcomer was so popular that parent studio Funcom recovered initial development costs within a week.

Now available on PlayStation 4 as well as PC and Xbox One, the game appears to have regained some of that early momentum, rising up the Steam, GamersGate and Fanatical charts to make a top five appearance in each.

Elsewhere, the fast-moving, spell combat, randomized adventure “Wizard of Legend” lodged itself in fourth on the Steam chart, benefiting from a simultaneous release across PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a strong first title from two-person studio Contingent99.

Home improvement sim “House Flipper” also caught the zeitgeist, inviting players to turn crumbling shacks into modern-day manors, and found its way to Steam’s fifth place.

As for “Wizard of Legend”, that’s a big achievement considering its sub-$20 (P1,000) price on the revenue-based chart.

Finally, action role-playing adventure “Pillars of Eternity II” triumphed with top spots on GOG and Fanatical and a fourth place finish on GamersGate. Battle royale genre spearhead PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been Steam’s bestseller, by purchase revenue, for 60 weeks in a row now.
