PH eSports teams bag $77,714 prize at Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup
Filipino eSports teams were able to take home $77,714 (₱4,136,327) in prize money at the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2018 at the Jakarta International Expo on July 29, 2018.
First place went to Bren Esports, which acquired mobile gaming team Aether Main on July 22. Bren Esports bagged $42,476 plus $8,000 (₱2,686,585) in winnings after defeating fellow Filipino team Digital Devils Professional Gaming in the finals of MSC 2018.
Team Digital Devils were able to snag $27,238 (₱1,449,742) for finishing second.
Article continues after this advertisementIndonesian teams populated the third and fourth places of the tournament. Third placers RRQ.O2, the Mobile Gaming division of Rex Regnum Qeon’s (RRQ), earned $14,000 (₱745,150) while Aerowolf.Roxy claimed $7,000 (₱372,575) in winnings.
The three-day competition began on July 27 and ended on July 29.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a 5 versus 5 online mobile game in the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre. Shanghai Moonton Technology both develops and publishes the game.
