Last week, United States President Donald Trump stated that Google had a nationwide, coronavirus screening website in the works that would direct people to testing locations if they are eligible; however, the company never supported these claims. Instead, the company on Saturday launched an educational website “focused on education, prevention and local resources.”

Through google.com/covid19, users can find state-based information, safety recommendations, prevention tips and results from trending searches. Business professionals and educators can find additional resources to help them manage their work in the midst of a global pandemic.

This website began rolling out to the U.S. over the weekend, but the company confirmed that it will be available in more languages and countries in the near future.

Alternatively, Google sister company Verily launched a COVID-19 screening website for people located in two California counties. Based on an individual’s responses to various health questions, the site will tell them if they are eligible for a coronavirus test and where it can be conducted. Though the company has plans to drastically expand the services, it is unknown when that will take place. RGA
