‘Ragnarok: Monster World‘ is first Web2 game on Ronin Network
Do you remember the 2000s? You probably reminisce about the times when you and your buddies spent hours in internet cafes.
The space filled with laughter and banter as your “barkada” worked together to level up in Ragnarok Online. Hours went by as you turned your fledgling swordsman into a knight, and then you guys embarked on your first raids.

Article continues after this advertisementIt was a huge part of the early 2000s as Pinoy band Kamikazee made a Ragnarok-inspired song named “Chicksilog.” Still, you and your friends grew up, and Ragnarok Online became a distant memory.
Fortunately, your childhood game returns with a new form: “Ragnarok: Monster World.” The EVM-based Ronin will launch it in late 2024 as its first Web2 gaming intellectual property.
What is Ragnarok: Monster World?
Ragnarok Online is a billion-dollar IP from South Korean publisher Gravity. The company released it on August 31, 2002, gaining 167 million downloads across 122 territories.
Article continues after this advertisementGravity partnered with the Ronin network, which is an Ethereum Virtual Machine blockchain. An EVM monitors the activities of the Ethereum blockchain network.
They will release Ragnarok: Monster World in the third quarter of 2024. The Web3 development firm ZERO X AND (0x&) created the game, which would function like a monster-catching title like Pokemon.
Ragnarok: Monster World’s official press release said:
“In the game, players tame and collect monsters called Ragmons, train them, and engage in battles to level up and earn rewards through PvP features.”
“Future updates will introduce PvE and GvG features, in addition to benefits that will be unlocked through the participation of campaigns.”
