WeChat launches reward program ‘WeRewards’
In a bid to “give back” to its users, mobile messaging application WeChat on Saturday launched its new mobile campaign and reward program at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig.
In “WeRewards,” WeChat users will be rewarded with points that can be used to redeem prizes and discounts from the mobile app’s partners, including online food delivery service FoodPanda.

Points would be rewarded to users if they completed certain tasks in the mobile app, such as making a short voice or video call.
The WeRewards launch coincided with FoodPanda Philippines’ first anniversary.

“This is more of a thanksgiving, to recognize all the hard work that everyone has bought in,” Cochierri said. “This is also for all those who never fail to use FoodPanda to satisfy their cravings.”
Through WeRewards, WeChat users can win up to P300 worth of discounts in the form of P100 food vouchers, each of which has a minimum purchase of P200.
The vouchers can be used in select restaurants in Metro Manila and Cebu.
“Without the customers who regularly use our service, we won’t be here. So big thanks to them,” Cochierri added.
Aside from FoodPanda, WeChat also partnered with fitness company Runtastic, bars Raven and Urban in BGC, and online shopping Lazada.com.ph, where users can get P100 discount with no minimum purchase.
The reward program will run until July 30.
