LG G6 wants display dominance at 90% screen-to-bezel ratio, images leaked
Samsung has made it clear that their latest flagship phone will not be debuting at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. This leaves its competitors will a little more wiggle room to showcase their own flagship devices, such as LG’s G6.
LG had already set February 26 as the launch date for their latest Android device. But in the meantime, a new photo of the device has been leaked, providing a better look at the 5.7-inch, 2:1 aspect ratio display.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Verge reports that the G6 will have more than a 90 percent screen-to-bezel ratio. The closest competition so far when it comes to screen real estate is the Xiaomi Mi Mix, with a 91.3 percent ratio, though contested by critics.
Apart from the focus on a minimalist bezel, LG has also abandoned the modular design that was implemented on the G5. The G6 will be made entirely of metal and glass. It even has a headphone jack and is expected to be waterproof. However, its battery will no longer be replaceable.
The dual-camera design from the G5 is expected to be retained together with the center-mounted fingerprint sensor.

While LG has reported successive quarterly financial losses, Samsung is yet to fully recover from the trauma of the combustible Galaxy Note 7. Alfred Bayle
