Meitu, makers of the viral selfie app that excessively beautifies users, has come out with a special edition smartphone and selfie stick that just might get users shouting “Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!”

Inspired by the anime “Sailormoon” is a limited edition Meitu M8 smartphone and selfie stick, reports The Verge.

Consistent with the company’s emphasis on beauty, this special M8 is indeed a pretty pink device. More than that, it also comes with a 12-megapixel front camera by Sony for taking high-resolution selfies. On the back side is a 21-megapixel shooter, also by Sony.

The rest of the specifications include a Helio X20 processor, 5.2-inch display, 4GB or RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Helping Meitu launch the “Sailormoon Pretty Soldier Edition” M8 is Chinese celebrity Angelbaby. She does this through an unboxing video hosted on Miaopai.

The Sailormoon Pretty Soldier Edition M8 is set to go on sale on May 12 via Meitu’s website for 2,999 yuan (roughly P21,000). Only 10,000 units will be available, so for Sailor Soldiers out there wanting to get these items, good luck. Alfred Bayle/JB
