Officers from Michigan’s Port Huron Police Department in the United States shot their own version of “Carpool Karaoke” by lip-syncing to Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way”.
Featuring officers Sam Baker and Brian Daly, the dash cam video started out innocently enough. Daly asked Baker to recommend a song which would help get him in the mood for work.
Baker didn’t hesitate in saying, “Oh I got a song.” He promptly hit play on the radio amidst protests from Daly. However, as the music began, both men started bobbing their head and really got into lip-syncing with it.
Officer Derek Paret even made a guest appearance in the back, and that’s just fitting, because there’s more than two members in the Backstreet Boys, after all.
The video was posted on the Port Huron police department Facebook page and comes with a challenge for the Imlay City Police Department written in the caption. It has been viewed over 400,000 times and has gotten positive feedback from netizens. One commenter mentioned how it brightened up her otherwise bad day: “Hot cops and The Backstreet Boys… these are a few of my favorite things!” JB
