“Fortnite” Beta for Android finally opened access to all compatible devices.

The popular online video game’s port to Android initially began with a limited release for Samsung devices when the Galaxy Note 9 was launched. Epic Games gradually made the game available to other brand devices later on.

An Oct. 11 tweet from the “Fortnite” Twitter account officially lifted all limitations and opened access to devices capable of running the game without the need for a game invite. Epic Games recommended gamers to have at least Android 8.0 installed. At the same time, they provided a list of devices capable of running “Fortnite.”

“Fortnite” first made its transition to the mobile gaming platform on April 2 for the iOS.

Meanwhile, “Fortnite” players on the PlayStation 4 rejoiced when Sony decided to finally implement cross-platform gaming. The company previously restricted “Fortnite” online play to the PS4 by blocking access to “Fortnite” game accounts used on other platforms and vice versa.

“Fortnite” currently has over 140 million players around the world. The game became so popular that parents of children who play the game began to consider it as one of the factors their kids need to maintain their social status quo. These same parents even hired “Fortnite tutors” to help their kids play better. Some parents ended up joining their kids’ practice sessions so that it became a sort of bonding time for the family.  /ra
