YouTube to launch own version of ‘Stories’
It looks like video sharing site YouTube will be following the move of Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook towards enhancing features on video sharing.
YouTube will be launching its own version of “Stories” by Instagram, through a new feature where users may share glimpses of their daily lives through short snippets of photos and videos.

TechCrunch reported that unlike Snapchat and Instagram, videos uploaded will not have the 24-hour time span. These videos can also have multiple reels.
These stories can affect the algorithm of the user’s home page, where they can appear as recommendations if always watched. Viewers also have the option to mark Reels videos with a thumbs up or thumbs down, similar to traditional videos uploaded on the site. Reels videos can also be designed with stickers, filters and text.
